Laura Reetz’s class at George Washington studied three different Native American groups from North America, including the Northeastern, Plains and Far North groups. The students learned how the Native American groups used natural resources specific to their regions and how they were utilized in homebuilding.

Then, the students applied their knowledge to design and print 3D models of the homes. Most students created a model of the exterior, while one was able to create an accurate model of the interior as well. The students also studied the groups’ sources of food, clothing, types of transportation and tools they used.
