In preparation for building and facility renovations approved in March by the bond referendum, district administration and Board of Education members participated in building tours to review capital improvements, repairs and reconstruction during the next five years.

On July 14, Superintendent of Schools Patricia Sullivan-Kriss along with Assistant Superintendent for Business John O’Keefe, Director of District Facilities Anthony Vecchione, Board President Karen Brohm and Vice President Vincent Trocchia, Project Manager of Tetra Tech John Prentince, and members of the custodial staff to examine and discuss the future restorations at the middle school and high school, including interior and exterior repairs, improvements to classrooms, and renovations to athletic fields and the middle school gymnasium to comply with all Section VIII game requirements.

The following week, on July 21, William J. Wisbauer Director and Region Manager of Tetra Tech, accompanied the district’s representatives at George Washington, Cornwell Avenue and Eagle Avenue to review the scope of work proposed for each facility, including preservation of the buildings’ structural integrity, safety issues in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, reconstruction of pavement and efficient lighting.

The district thanks the community for supporting the reduced capital project bond referendum and will continue to provide residents with updates as it moves forward with renovations.
