In observance of Red Ribbon Week, West Hempstead Middle School students learned about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse from members of the high school’s Students Against Destructive Decisions club.
SADD members visited middle school classrooms on Oct. 25 to educate students grades 6-8 about destructive decisions with a game of bingo. Every student received a bingo card containing a drug- or alcohol-related term in each box. The middle schoolers were awarded a red ribbon for achieving bingo by having five correct answers line up.
