Planning Their Course of Action

West Hempstead High School welcomed students in Grades 8-11 and their families to its second annual Curriculum Fair on Jan. 19 where they learned about the vast selection of courses offered at the school.

The evening began in the auditorium with a presentation led by school guidance counselors discussing the 2017-18 course registration process. Afterward, the students and their families headed to the cafeteria where they walked through rows of long tables containing informational material about each course. Operated by class representatives and teachers, guests were able to ask questions and learn about class assignments at each station. Among the panoply of courses were those in Art, Business, English, Music, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Family and Consumer Sciences, and World Languages.

The district is pleased to offer its students a wide variety of courses that will enhance their academic experience and post–graduate futures.
