George Washington recently held a production of “Annie,” presented by students in the sixth-grade.

Under the guidance of band teacher Wayne Heckler and orchestra teacher Christopher Lovasz, sixth-graders auditioned for various roles ranging from the lead character to members of the stage crew.

The show opened with a dress rehearsal on Nov. 7 in front of the entire George Washington student body. The play was open to the public on Nov. 8 as the students put on a dynamic performance for district officials, parents and other community members.

The district congratulates the students for a wonderful performance and thanks all those that put in the effort towards the production.
