Welcome to West Hempstead High School, a school that strives to provide the highest quality educational program for each of its 1000 students. Our goal is to have every student develop to their fullest potential.
At West Hempstead, education is viewed as an academic and social process shared in responsibility by the entire school community, parents, students, teachers, support staff and administrators. We have a long tradition of high standards in the areas of academics, athletics, and fine arts.
We are unique in that our students come from West Hempstead and Island Park New York. This partnership allows us to offer a varied academic, athletic and extracurricular program for all students. Our excellent facilities and seasoned faculty contribute to the positive development and growth of each West Hempstead High School student.
