On Thursday, Feb. 11, kindergarteners at Chestnut Street School celebrated their first 100 days of learning.

In preparation for the big day, students created “100” themed projects utilizing 100 pieces of material. Projects included lollipop plants with 100 lollipops, a book expressing 100 of their favorite activities and a Lego “100 Days of School” sign consisting of 100 Legos.

During their one-hundredth day celebration, the young students applied their mathematic skills by packaging snacks that included 10 pieces of 10 different snacks such as popcorn, marshmallows and animal crackers. In addition, they designed their own “100 days smarter” crowns and wrote what they have learned in their first 100 days of school.
