The District welcomed back staff members for the annual Superintendent’s Conference Day on Sept. 3.

The Administration invited attendees to a welcome back breakfast in the high school cafeteria before moving to the auditorium for greetings and introductions. Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dina Reilly led off the day’s speakers. Her presentation included secondary programs that are being introduced and expanded in the high school.

Matt Caruthers spoke on behalf of the West Hempstead Education Association while high school assistant principal Michelle Maron represented the West Hempstead Association of Supervisors and Administrators to address the group. Board of Education president Karen Brohm also greeted the audience before Superintendent of Schools Daniel Rehman delivered closing remarks.

Following the opening presentations, WHEA and WHASA held respective meetings in the high school’s auditorium and library. As the day concluded, each of the district’s five buildings held respective meetings. Principals shared their goals and expectations for the upcoming year in order to lead to success for the district and students.
