Strategic Planning Council Established
The West Hempstead Board of Education approved the formation of a district-wide Strategic Planning Council.
The group of approximately 50, including administrators, teachers, directors, board embers, students, parents
and community members met from February through May 2008. The council developed a three year strategic plan which
was presented to and approved by the Board of Education in June 2008. The plan includes action plans which set goals
for the district in four areas: Community Relations, Curriculum and Data Assessment, Educational Technology
and Professional Development.
