Cornwell Avenue School celebrates fall with fun-filled festival

On Oct. 23, Cornwell Avenue School in West Hempstead brought the spirit of autumn to life with its annual fall festival, held on the school’s playground.

The event celebrated the fall season with a variety of fun, family-friendly activities for students and staff alike. The playground was transformed into a festive gathering place featuring classic carnival-style games such as ring toss, cornhole, bowling, and an egg-and-spoon race, along with one of the most popular attractions — mummy wrapping, where students and teachers teamed up to wrap each other in toilet paper for a good laugh.

The festival served as a joyful reminder of the importance of connection and community, providing students with a chance to make memories outside the classroom while enjoying the crisp fall weather.
