Students share free compliments at George Washington School

Students and teachers at George Washington School in West Hempstead kicked off a new campaign to share kindness throughout the school community.

Students are using the district’s Habits of Mind program to create >span class="NormalTextRun SCXW77391386 BCX2">compliments tear-off sheet. Before the holiday break, their projects were posted around the school building in which students can "tear-off" and share a compliment with >span class="NormalTextRun SCXW77391386 BCX2">. The tear-off sheets, which students crafted using the graphic design app, Canva, feature positive affirmations such as “you can do this,” “we need more of you,” and “believe in yourself.”
