Kindergarten students at Chestnut Street School in West Hempstead recently completed a unit on community helpers.
In this unit, students learned about jobs and how community helpers are important to their community. Chestnut Street featured a variety of community helpers that included a physical therapist, comedian, aircraft pilot, firefighters and members of the Nassau County Police Department. The community helpers who were chosen are just a handful among many Chestnut Street parents and friends.
Chestnut Street appreciates their community helpers for their service to the community and for taking the time to come into the classrooms and share their expert knowledge.
