West Hempstead Middle School students were tasked with mummifying each other as part of the school’s inaugural Haunted Halloween Whodunit on Oct. 28

West Hempstead Middle School students were tasked with completing fun, spooky challenges during the school’s inaugural Haunted Halloween Whodunit on Oct. 28.  

Dressed in their Halloween costumes, seventh and eighth graders split up into teams and spent the evening playing numerous games and collecting clues to figure out who stole the candy jar near the main entrance.  

The event, which was organized by the school’s student council advisers, was spread out in different classrooms in the middle school with Halloween-themed decorations. After students solved a riddle at the end of the Haunted Halloween Whodunit, it was revealed that the Rams mascot was the culprit. 

Middle school students also played tic-tac-toe to collect clues.

Students also had to get a hula hoop around each other without the breaking the chain.

At the end of West Hempstead Middle School’s Haunted Halloween Whodunit, it was revealed that the Rams mascot stole the candy jar.

Student tossed ping pong balls into cups as part of the spooky challenge.
