Announcements for January 15, 2025
Attention all Seniors: The West Hempstead Community Scholarship Fund is awarding several $2,500 scholarships to seniors. Applications are available in the School Counseling Office and will be mailed home at the beginning of January. To be considered, applications must be postmarked no later than February 7, 2025.
Attention All Seniors: It is time to start submitting your baby photos and throwback photos for the yearbook. Go to Room 206 to scan the QR code to submit your photos. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Romeo in Room 206.
Stage Crew: The first meeting of Stage Crew will be on Wednesday, January 15 in the Auditorium at dismissal.
Debate Club: There will be a meeting on Thursday, January 16, at dismissal, in Room 210.
Art Honor Society: There will be a meeting for all members on Thursday, January 16 in Room 200 at dismissal.
Moot Court: The next meeting of Moot Court will take place on Thursday, January 16. Meet Ms. Wilkens in Room 261 at dismissal.
Black Student Union: There will be a BSU meeting, at dismissal, on Friday, January 17 in Room 240.
Inkblot: The next of the school's literary magazine will be on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at dismissal, in Room 205.
DAT Club for Students in Grades 7 and 8: The DAT Club (Dignity and Tolerance Club) meets every Wednesday in Room 38, at dismissal, with Ms. Lubliner.
Cooking Club for Grades 7 and 8: The Cooking Club will meet on Wednesday, January 15 in Room 7 at dismissal. Please make sure you sign up today outside of Room 7. You must be able to stay for the entire hour.
Mathletes 7/8: There will be a Mathletes 7/8 meeting on Thursday, January 16 in Room 18 at dismissal. We will begin to prepare for the Kellenberg Tournament. Anyone interested must attend or see Ms. Klein in advance.
Homework Club: If you would like a space to do homework or to ask for assistance with homework, stop by the Homework Center on the following days: Mondays with Ms. Spallino in Room 15, Wednesdays with Ms. Murphy in Room 16, and Thursdays with Ms. Rogan in Room 219.
