Twelve students Holding Artwork

Twelve students are representing the West Hempstead School District in the 19th annual Art Supervisors Association All-County Art Exhibit.  

The ASA is an organization of art supervisors and administrators that promote art instruction at all educational levels. Each year, the organization hosts the prestigious exhibit, showcasing more than 1,200 pieces of artwork produced by kindergarten to 12th grade students from Nassau County school districts. The 12 participants in the All-County Art Exhibit are:

Additionally, 11 students are participating in the Long Island’s Best: Young Artists at The Heckscher Museum exhibit. As the only juried exhibition on Long Island, Long Island’s Best offers high school students the unique opportunity to show their work in a museum. 

Each year, students in grades 9-12 are invited to create a work of art inspired by a piece shown in the museum. Hundreds of works of art are submitted from schools across Nassau and Suffolk and about 80 are chosen for display in the exhibition. The 11 participants in The Heckscher Museum exhibit are:
