On May 2, the West Hempstead School District’s Board of Education honored several students for their musical and artistic success in recent months.
The following students were recognized during the board of education’s monthly meeting:
Amelia Bhairo, Long Island’s Best: Young Artists at The Heckscher Museum exhibit participant.
Sophia Ciminera, Juliana Cook, Rory Gallo, Justus Filincieri, Luke Filincieri, Olivia Filincieri, Mahib Rahman, Valerie Schreck, Stephen Schreck, and Mouhammad Seck, participants in the Nassau Music Educators Association’s All-County ensembles.
Mahib Rahman, Valerie Schreck, Stephen Schreck and Arianna Corona, participants in the Long Island String Festival Association’s festivals.
The district congratulates all of the outstanding musicians and artists for showcasing their talents.
