School spirit was on full display during West Hempstead Secondary School’s annual homecoming celebration on Oct. 4.
The school community paraded from Chestnut Street School to West Hempstead Secondary School as members of the board of education and students from grades K-12 were proud to celebrate Ram Pride. Additionally, the secondary school’s marching band provided music while the cheerleaders helped to promote school spirit. After the parade, the school held a carnival and a Stuff the Bus food drive to support people in need.
The Rams varsity football team got off to a hot start against Lawrence High School and never looked back, winning their homecoming game by a score of 28-12.
