West Hempstead Secondary School’s annual Homecoming celebration

School spirit was on full display during West Hempstead Secondary School’s annual homecoming celebration on Oct. 4.

The school community paraded from Chestnut Street School to West Hempstead Secondary School as members of the board of education and students from grades K-12 were proud to celebrate Ram Pride. Additionally, the secondary school’s marching band provided music while the cheerleaders helped to promote school spirit. After the parade, the school held a carnival and a Stuff the Bus food drive to support people in need.

The Rams varsity football team got off to a hot start against Lawrence High School and never looked back, winning their homecoming game by a score of 28-12.

Chestnut Street School were among the schools to march in West Hempstead’s homecoming parade. Students of all ages showed Ram Pride during the homecoming parade. The West Hempstead School District’s Board of Education took part in the homecoming festivities on Oct. 4.

Before the Rams varsity football game, the secondary school honored its senior cheerleaders and players.  The secondary school held a carnival after the homecoming parade. After the parade, secondary school students held a Stuff the Bus food drive to support people in need. The West Hempstead Rams marching band provided music throughout the homecoming celebration. Fredi Castro and Ije Kalu were crowned as Mr. and Mrs. West Hempstead.
