Students from West Hempstead Secondary School’s Virtual Enterprise program recently participated in the annual Youth Business Summit, held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Hosted by Virtual Enterprises International, the event brought together more than 3,000 students and business professionals from around the world. Representing West Hempstead were the Virtual Enterprise student-run firms “Activ8,” “At Your Service,” and “Zip.It.Up.” Throughout the summit, students engaged in professional networking opportunities, showcased their businesses on the trade show floor, and participated in competitive events alongside peers from across the United States and internationally.
The summit’s global reach provided students with a unique opportunity to collaborate with and learn from participants representing countries such as Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. This international experience helped broaden students’ understanding of global business practices while allowing them to form meaningful professional connections.
Participation in the Youth Business Summit reflects the dedication, creativity, and perseverance demonstrated by West Hempstead Secondary School’s Virtual Enterprise students throughout the program. The experience offered valuable real-world insight into entrepreneurship, communication, and collaboration in a global marketplace.
