West Hempstead Secondary School proudly celebrated its College Signing Day on June 15, recognizing members of the Class of 2026 who have committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
The event honored student-athletes whose dedication, perseverance, and achievements have distinguished them both in the classroom and in competition. Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, teachers, and school administrators such as Principal Joe Pumo and Jonathan Gill, the district’s director of physical education, health and athletics, the students were recognized for reaching an important milestone as they prepare to take the next step in their academic and athletic journeys.
Throughout their time at West Hempstead Secondary School, these student-athletes have represented the Rams with pride, demonstrating leadership, sportsmanship, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field. Their accomplishments reflect years of hard work and determination, as well as the support of their families, coaches, and educators. The annual College Signing Day celebration served as an opportunity for the school community to acknowledge the students' successes and wish them continued achievement at the collegiate level.
West Hempstead Secondary School congratulates these outstanding student-athletes and looks forward to following their future accomplishments as they continue their journeys as Rams alumni.
