
Ms. Weinstein and Ms. Mejia took the students in our Spanish classes to Rinconcito Salvadoreno in Port Chester for a fantastic cultural experience.

Ms. Rosner’s class was challenged to be young mineralogist and identify different minerals using various methods.



The students in Ms. Lind’s Global class were busy working on their projects todays. The projects were focused on independence movements. Looking forward to seeing the final products.

Here is some important information in regard to Thursday’s semi-final football game ( West Hempstead vs Seaford) at Hofstra University. Game time is 7:30pm.
Tickets will be $11 each for the semi-finals, county & Long Island Championship.
You can purchase tickets ( children under 12 years old you do not need to purchase a ticket) online at

You need to select the number of tickets then at the top of the page it will say add information
the next screen will ask for your first name, last name, phone number, and then interest to officiate sports (yes or no; you must answer this question),
follow the prompts to create an account then you will be able to purchase your tickets.
Tickets must be presented on a mobile phone for entrance into the game.
Gates open one hour prior to kickoff time
Money will not be accepted at the gate.
Some other important information:
Our spectators will be sitting on the opposite side of the press box (parking lot is on Uniondale Ave near the McDonalds)
Hofstra University is very strict with their rules and this is a Section VIII sponsored event. Hofstra will be have their own security at the game and school supervisors will also be present
Spectators must be in the bleachers. Spectators cannot stand by the railing next to the field
Tailgating is prohibited on school grounds.
Noisemaker’s, cow bells, thunder sticks are prohibited.

Congratulations to Victoria Guerrier for being named a State Winner in the Heisman High School Scholarship Competition. Victoria was the female winner for NYS. The Heisman Scholarship program honors the nation’s most accomplished, community-minded high school senior athletes.

Congratulations to the varsity football team on their 27-13 win over Island Trees High School on Friday afternoon. On Thursday, November 10th the varsity football team will be playing against Seaford High School at 7:30 pm at Hofstra University in the Conference IV semifinal game.

Yesterday, the Cross Country team competed at the Section VIII State Qualifier meet. Junior, Alex Santos-Acosta finished in 4th place overall, earning himself a spot on the state team. Seniors Gloria Guerrier and Victoria Guerrier finished in 3rd place and 5th place earning themselves a spot the state team.
These qualifications mark the first time in over 20 years that a West Hempstead athlete has qualified for the State Championships in Cross Country. All three students will compete at the New York State Cross Country Championship meet in Verona New York next Saturday. Congratulations RAMS!!!

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Volleyball team. The team won their quarter final match against Island Trees High School 3 sets to 1. Chance Mingo dominated the match and carried the RAMS with 23 kills and two aces. Victoria Guerrier added 35 assists.
This win marks the third year in a row the volleyball team has made it the semifinals. The team play on Saturday, November 5th as the girls will play the number 1 seed Seaford Vikings at Carle Place High School at 4:00pm. Come support the RAMS!!!!

Congratulations to the varsity football team on their 48-16 win yesterday over Valley Stream South High School. The team improved their record to 7-1 on the season. The team will be hosting their first home playoff game since 2013. The team will be playing against Island Trees High School. The date and time of the game will be announced by tomorrow afternoon.
