Students in Ms. Perri’s Chemistry class tested different variables and the effect on solubility. The students had complete control over the experimental design. Great inquiry based lab!
Congratulations to the girls' varsity basketball team. The team has a playoff game (semi-final game) on Monday, February 21st at Hofstra University at 11:00 am. The team will be playing against Cold Spring Harbor High School. There is a fee to enter the game. To purchase tickets you must use the app.

Congratulations to the varsity winter track teams. Last night the track & field teams had several great performances at their conference championship meet. Victoria and Gloria Guerrier finished 2nd and 4th respectively in both the 300 and 600, while senior Laila Canelo finished 2nd in the 55m hurdles.
Derek Chinchilla finished 3rd in the 600, Damilola Babalola finished 2nd in the 55m hurdles, and Jordan DeJesus won both the 55 and the 300.
The 4x200 relay team of Dominick Ferguson, Derek Chinchilla, Damilola Babalola, and Jordan DeJesus took home the conference champion title. All of these athletes have earned All-Conference honors.

Good morning,
I am on a zoom call for high school athletics with BOCES and all the athletic directors from Nassau County. There has been a long discussion about masks being worn at basketball games.
Our student/ athletes have done a very good job wearing masks during the games but we can still improve and do a better job.
Across the board every basketball coach in Nassau County needs to enforce that masks must be worn at all times and this starts with the students wearing masks at practice.
The executive director from BOCES stated that every highlight on News 12 and the photos shown in Newsday show students not wearing masks. Masks must be worn at all times.
I will continue to stress that masks must be worn but I need the help of all coaches to reinforce masks must be worn by all students in practice and at games.
