Today, 10th graders at @wh_secondary virtually met with Holocaust survivor Alice Ginsburg. Ms. Ginsburg, who was raised in an Orthodox Jewish home in Czechoslovakia, spoke with students via Zoom to share her personal account of the Nazi invasion in 1944. #RamCulture

West Hempstead was magnificent this week at Counties. Jurrel Hall was first and County Champion in the triple jump, high jump, and long jump. Victoria Guerrier was first and County champion in the 300 meters. Gloria Guerrier was the County Champion in the 600 meters. Corey Pierre was All-County in the 55 meters. Alex Santos, Justin Delavandel, Diego Gomez, and Jeremy Haynes were All-County in the 4 x 800. Caleb Blue was All-County in the triple jump. Samuel Mwenda was All-County in shot put. Alex Santos was All-County in the 1000 meters. Kamau Leslie, Jayden Leslie, Dominick Ferguson, and Corey Pierre were All-County in the 4 x 200. Congratulations to all of our student-athletes. The 2022-2023 District Calendar lists three potential instructional days to be restored to the calendar in the event of lost days due to weather or emergency closings. The dates listed on the main calendar are incorrect (the one-page calendar is correct). In the event days need to be restored, the following days will be utilized as follows: May 26th and April 14th. These were the days approved by the Board of Education. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
